Personal Statement Health Decisions - 966 Words

Now that I’m a young adult, I realize that as the days go by my body is getting old. I’m more focused on the fact that my body can only withstand a lifetime. What really matters most in my life now that I think more towards the future, is how I manage my diet to live my life in fulfillment and in great health. And, looking back, I admit that I’ve made regrettable health decisions because I wasn’t all that too concerned about it nor was I informed of any useful knowledge like I am today. It’s only until recently(after years of pretty much eating whatever the hell I want) that I’m determined to develop and sustain a genuinely healthy lifestyle to yield nourishment for my body. Live fast, die young. That’s a popular phrase that I’ve continued to hear throughout my young adult life. It saddens me when a few of my peers see eye to eye with this point of view. If you want to watch your children grow in the future and watch them have children like I do, then they’re probably going to depend on you to stick around for the long run. So, anything that you do to your body now will eventually affect you in the future, right? That is why this is important to you: be wary of the type of foods you consume, what food groups they belong to, and be familiar with nutritional value!
